eN arts is pleased to present “eeny, meeny, miny, moe | yellow” a group exhibition of two artists: Tamotsu Ikeya and Keisuke Matsuda. “Color” plays a critical role in the creation of art. Indeed, just a single color, selected out of millions, can determine the fate of an artwork -for better or for worse. In “eeny, meeny, miny, moe | yellow ” the two artists exhibit their works … created with an assigned color, YELLOW.

We hope the third exhibition of the “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” series will challenge the artists to present what the meaning color YELLOW signifies to them, to handle the color YELLOW in unique ways, and to make compelling use of the color YELLOW.

Painting invites me into a new room. In the room, there is a new, different time. And that new time brings me comfortable physical experiences. To paint while relaxed and feeling good, I will simply continue painting.

I convert what exists of the world in front of my eyes into painting. While transforming an image onto a canvas, I ponder what colors and textures of paints I should choose and how I use my brushstrokes. Then my “painting” mind will sink onto the canvas.
