The theme of this work is the transition of people’s values and the shift in their awareness as they relate with nature. People’s values and perspectives are influenced by their current circumstances. We cannot say simply that yesterday’s values have completely changed today versus yesterday when they are constantly changing little by little in accordance with their current conditions. I want to capture scenes that seem to be disappearing as if swallowed up by these changes, as well as fragments and traces of things that have already been lost.

eN arts will host a solo exhibition by Asami Yoshiga “Tenkei”, starting on September 5, 2025. Asami Yoshiga is a graduate of the Japanese Painting at the Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University. She has continued to create works with depth by layering cloths painted with beautiful landscapes using sumi (Japanese Ink) and ink. Her works transcend the technical and formal framework of traditional Japanese painting and two-dimensional painting and embodying narratives. Furthermore, the layered images not only convey spatial depth but also express a temporal flow. When viewers confront Yoshiga’s works, they are transported into the pieces, and the “landscapes” depicted there gradually transform into “scenes.” We invite you to enjoy this exhibition by projecting your own memories onto Asami Yoshiga’s works.
